Our identity: Daughters of
Charity - Servants of the poor is a GIFT of God.
It is a gift that asks for
our free response. It is fulfilled in us through a gradual process, so that
all the aspects of our life take on the FORM of Jesus, Son of the
Father and Servant of Yahweh. |

This second part of our name challenges us to
assume the same FORM OF THE MISSION of the Son, who speaks of the love of
the Father, making Himself a Servant .
He involves Himself in the historical
context into which He is incarnated. He takes on the weakness of all and
tries to reach out to those "farthest away". |

Like
Mary,
Mother of Charity at the foot of the Cross,
we
become what we contemplate.
We learn from her, God's faithful handmade,
to remain in LOVE in order to generate LIFE. |
