CANOSSIAN YOUTH MINISTRY

Logo: Let us accompany the young people of the world embracing the Cross of Christ, sign of the “ Greatest Love”, the light and salvation of humanity. With them let us turn towards the Third Millennium and bring the joyful hope of Youth to the Church and the Institute.

The 15th World Youth Day will take place in Rome from 15th – 20th August 2000. The Canossian Community of St. Michael has been chosen for the “incontra@giovani”.

We invite all the youth for a moment of reflection and sharing. The theme “The Key to the Future”, will focus mainly on the Canossian Charism lived by Saint Magdalene and Blessed Bakhita.

The youth who will not join their Diocese, but will join us, will form a group called "Canossa Youth 2000”.

They, too, will participate in the initiatives  of the WYD and will be accommodated in some of our Canossian communities in Rome. A joint commission of Canossian Family members is engaged in preparing a programme to share the Canossian Charism within the formative itinerary proposed by the Church for the Youth.

Our group ”Canossa Youth 2000” has already reached  the number 380. The members are coming from various parts of the world. We wish that you, too, with your Diocesan Youth or Canossa Youth 2000  may  join us in Rome in the month of  August 2000.
